meet our Founders

Founder

Originally from Arizona, I met my husband, Devin, in Alaska, and together we found Utah to be the perfect middle ground to call home for the last 7 years. We are the proud parents of three wonderful children: Ezra, 17, Rylie, 16, and Mia, 11. We cherish our time together, especially during vacations to the beach, and love outdoor adventures such as hiking, fishing, and kayaking. Devin proudly serves in the Utah Air Force Reserves, as a family, we deeply value his role in the military and the dedication it represents

Our lives changed when Ezra was diagnosed with autism at age 2 1/2, setting me on a path to support him and others in the special needs community. After years of therapy, I’ll never forget the day Ezra spoke his first words—a moment that shaped my belief that every person deserves a community that lifts them up and empowers them to thrive. This belief drove me to earn degrees in Psychology and Sociology with an emphasis in Social Work and to co-found the Southern Utah Autism Support Group, where I worked to build connections for families like ours.

Now, at Bridge to Independence, I’m proud to be part of a mission to help adults with disabilities achieve independence and lead meaningful lives. Together with our dedicated team, I’m committed to fostering a community that celebrates every individual’s abilities and potential.

Co-Founder

Hi, I’m Clarissa McEuen, and I’m proud to be a Utah native, a wife, a mother of four wonderful children, and someone who is wholeheartedly dedicated to improving the lives of individuals with disabilities.

My children, ranging from teenagers to a toddler and baby, are my world, and they inspire me every day to pursue my passions.

Outside of being a mom and wife, I’ve been honored to serve in the United States Air Force for over five years, where I’ve developed a strong sense of discipline, service, and the importance of supporting those around me.

Caring for disabled individuals is not just something I do—it’s something my entire family has been engrained in for years. My four brothers and my own mother have been deeply involved in supporting disabled adults, ensuring they live more fulfilling lives.

Our family has always been dedicated to creating environments where individuals with disabilities are respected, empowered, and given opportunities to thrive.

This lifelong exposure has shaped my passion for this work and reinforced my commitment to making a real difference.

For the past several years, I’ve had the privilege of hosting and caring for disabled adults. This experience has opened my eyes to the unique needs and challenges faced by disabled individuals, and it has fueled my passion for providing them with more than just basic care. It’s about creating an environment where they feel truly seen, respected, and empowered to live their best lives.

This is why I’m so excited to open a group home that emphasizes independence, dignity, and compassion for all residents.

I understand that many disabled adults begin their journey in life with challenges that most of us can’t fully comprehend. Life is far from simple for them, and yet we often forget that their needs—while complex—are also very human. I believe that creating a nurturing environment where they are understood and supported is not just important, but essential. Too often, individuals with disabilities are left to navigate the world with little more than the bare minimum—what I would call a "simple beginning." But I want to do more. I want to offer a strong beginning, where every person can thrive, feel connected, and have a true sense of belonging.

As someone who grew up in the foster system, I’ve seen firsthand how important it is to have a solid foundation and a caring, supportive network. I know the difference it can make when someone is given the right tools, resources, and community to rise above their challenges.

This is my mission: to provide a home where individuals are not just cared for, but truly understood and supported. No one should ever feel alone, insignificant, or as if they don’t matter. My goal is to offer a space where people with disabilities can flourish, with dignity and purpose.

I hold a Bachelor's degree in Business Management from Weber State University and a Master’s degree in Operations and Management from Webster University.

These academic credentials provide me with the business acumen needed to run a highly organized and well-managed home, but my true qualifications come from my deep, personal commitment to this work.

Outside of work, I love art, Spartan races, reading, spending time with my family, and challenging my kids to board games (they’re pretty competitive, but I like to think I have the edge!). And if you ever need to know anything about The Nightmare Before Christmas, I’m your go-to expert. It’s more than a movie—it’s a passion!

I’m excited to share my vision for a home where disabled adults can start with a strong foundation, supported by a team that believes in them and strives to meet their needs with compassion and respect. This isn’t just a business for me—it’s a mission, a calling. I look forward to getting to know you and your loved ones, and I’m here to help create a place where everyone can thrive.
